Mr. S. Ramadorai

Mr. S. Ramadorai (66) is the Vice - Chairman of Tata Consultancy Services Limited. Mr. Ramadorai was conferred the esteemed Padma Bhushan by the President of India in recognition of his contributions to IT industry of the Country.

In 2008, Mr. Ramadorai was recognised as the ‘International CEO of the Year’ at the 14th Annual LT Bravo Business Awards and the ‘Asia Talent Management of the Year’ at CNBC’s 7th Asia Business Leader Award. In April 2009, Mr. Ramadorai was awarded the CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for his contribution to the Indo-British economic relations. In 2011, Mr. Ramadorai has been appointed as the Advisor to the Prime Minister in the National Skill Development Council in the rank of Cabinet Minister.

Mr. Ramadorai’s academic credentials include a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Delhi University, a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and a Masters Degree in Computer Science from the University of California, USA. Mr. Ramadorai attended the MIT Sloan School of Management’s highly acclaimed Senior Executive Development Program in 1993.

Mr. Ramadorai joined the Board of the Company as an Independent Director in May 2002. He is a member of the Audit Committee and Remuneration Committee of the Company.
