Hindustan Unilever Research Centre (HURC) is the activity hub. The place where path-breaking formulas are created to make products that change lives of consumers forever.

Set up in 1967 at Mumbai, the HURC is where brilliant minds create magic. An ideal place for an imaginative, creative and intelligent mind to work in.

Over the years many break-through innovations have passed through the portals of HURC. Fairness cream, zero-alcohol soap, poly-coated scouring bars for dishwashing, fortified salt, instant tea, critical components for water purifying device…the list is endless.

Such was its contribution that HURC gained eminence with Unilever Global R&D and came to be recognized as one of the 6 global R&D centres of Unilever. Towards the end of 2006, with the construction of a world class laboratory, all research programs in India were integrated into a single research establishment – Unilever Research Centre, Bangalore.

World class infrastructure

A maestro needs nothing but the best to create magic with. At HURC you would have world class infrastructure and facilities at your disposal for conducting research. State-of-art instruments – such as Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectrometer (NMR), Fourier Transformed Infrared Spectrometer (FTIR), X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD) to name a few instruments that you would be using to conduct your experiments.

You would have access to awell-stocked Information Centre with all the latest, relevant books, journals, and numerous e-resources with desktop connectivity; accessible 24x7.
