O.P. Bhatt joins HUL Board as Independent Director
22-12-2011 : Mr. O.P. Bhatt, former Chairman of State Bank of India (SBI), was approved and appointed by the HUL Board of Directors as Independent Director on the HUL Board with effect from 20th December, 2011.
In the 36 years that Mr. Bhatt (60) served at SBI, he worked on important national and international assignments. Mr. Bhatt led SBI through challenging times by capitalising on the bank’s strengths. Under his leadership, SBI rose on the Global list rankings of Fortune 500; it is the only Indian Bank to feature on this list.
Mr. Bhatt was nominated ‘Banker of the Year’ by Business Standard and CNN-IBN Indian of the Year for Business in the year 2007.
