HLL Shareholders Approve Seeds Disposal By 99.56% Majority

On December 12, 2001, HLL had sent a notice under Section 192 A of the Companies Act 1956 to all the shareholders for seeking their approval by means of postal ballot for the disposal of the seeds undertaking. The Board had also appointed Mr.K.M. Powvala, a former Senior Partner of M/s A.F. Ferguson & Co., Chartered Accountants, Mumbai as scrutinizer for conducting the postal ballot.
Mr. Powvala submitted his report to the HLL Chairman on February 15, 2002, and the results were announced to the shareholders today.
