HLL Shareholders Approve Merger Of VDL With The Company

In a court convened meeting held on Oct 19, 2005 the shareholders of HLL approved the scheme of amalgamation of Vashisti Detergents Limited (VDL) with Hindustan Lever Limited (HLL). The scheme of amalgamation was approved by a majority of 89.72 % in number and 99.99 % in value.In an Extraordinary General Meeting of the shareholders held on the same day to approve the allotment of new equity shares to the shareholders of Vashisti Detergents Limited, in respect of the Resolution proposed to comply with the requirements of Section 81 and Section 81(1A) of the Companies Act, 1956. The Resolution was approved with an overwhelming majority of 99.99% votes.
