Hindustan Lever Limited completes the transfer of Doom Dooma Tea Plantations

In an announcement today Hindustan Lever Limited (HLL) and McLeod Russel India Limited (MRIL) said that they have completed the transaction for transfer of HLL’s 100% shareholding in Doom Dooma Tea Company Limited (DDTCL). In December 2005, both the companies had entered into a Memorandum of Understanding for the above transaction after which approval from shareholders of Mcleod Russel India Limited was sought and received on 20^th January 2006.

Accordingly, with effect from today, Doom Doom Tea Company Limited ceases to be a subsidiary of HLL.
