Mr Srinandan Sundaram (45) was appointed as Executive Director - Sales & Customer Development, HUL in September 2016.

Srinandan joined the company as a Management Trainee in 1999 after completing his MBA from IIM, Kolkata. Over the past 22 years, Srinandan has had stints spanning Customer Development (CD) and Marketing across several categories. He has held leadership roles in CD across General Trade and Modern Trade. He has led several categories in the Personal Care business, including Oral Care, Deodorants, Hair Care and Skin Care.
Srinandan champions embedding the role of CD as a service organisation that serves the needs of brands on one end and customers on the other leveraging three interdependent ecosystems of Demand Capture, Demand Generation and Demand Fulfilment. In doing so, pivoting CD to a High Tech - High touch function on the two pillars - digital & people, including partners.
His vision for CD India is to build CD as a competitive advantage for the company by embedding transparency across all operations leading to a Kaizen way of working and be a beacon in generating future General Managers for Unilever by empowering and unleashing the teams potential. From a longer term perspective, it is to create a leadership legacy by personally committing to and creating capable, future-fit leaders who are amazingly curious, ecosystem thinkers and have the ability to create cutting-edge capabilities on digital and analytics. Srinandan was previously the Vice President for Skin Care in HUL, and he led brand building which was responsible for strong growth in the top line and bottom line of Skin Care business in India.
He has also completed the Senior Executive Leadership Program from Harvard Business School, where he also represented the batch as a speaker at the Harvard Club Dinner. Srinandan is a big buff of Bollywood movies, Cricket and enjoys experimenting with gadgets.
