HUL’s beverage factory in Kolkata received the prestigious CII National Food Safety Award 2017 at an awards ceremony held in New Delhi, for outstanding achievements in food safety.
The award was presented by Mr Ashish Bahuguna, Chairperson, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). HUL Kolkata Factory Manager, Mr Puskar Mukherjee received the award on behalf of HUL.
Eminent industry leaders such as Mr Pawan Agarwal, CEO, FSSAI, Dr Antonio Costa, Chairperson Codex, Mr Mike Robach, Chairman, Global Food Safety Inc., were present at the event.
About CII National Award for Food Safety
The CII Award for Food Safety was launched in India in 2010. Besides sector specific Good Manufacturing practices & Food Safety Management Systems, the model encompasses Regulatory & Social Compliance and Change Management initiatives. The criteria for Food Safety Systems are drawn from the Food Safety and Standards Act, Rules & Regulations 2011, ISO 22000/FSSC 22000 standards, Codex & Industry best practices.
