Did you know that, each day, 3.5 million photos of food are posted, liked and shared around the world? That’s an online food conversation totalling 1.2 billion posts in a year. While in the virtual world we share images of food so that it can be admired, wouldn’t it be great to have an opportunity to convert one such ‘virtual share’ into real food?
According to The World Food Programme, 190M people or one in seven people in India still go to bed hungry. Given this background, Knorr is on a journey to encourage people to share a meal with the less fortunate!
To mark the occasion of World Food Day, Knorr is giving food lovers the opportunity to turn a virtual food post share into a real meal for someone in need. On 16th October, each time our #ShareTheMeal post is shared or retweeted on Facebook and Twitter, Knorr Global will donate the equivalent of one meal to the World Food Programme (WFP), up to a total of 1.5 million meals and Knorr India will donate 50,000 meals via Akshaya Patra (https://www.akshayapatra.org).
Watch our heart-warming World Food Day video on the Knorr India Facebook page or on the @KnorrIndia Twitter handle where India’s loved chefs cook up a wholesome meal in order to share it with the less fortunate and spread the message of #ShareTheMeal. This World Food Day, let's get inspired to cook up a delicious meal, and share it with someone less fortunate.
Let's help make a real difference!
