As the world celebrates Global Handwashing Day 2023, Lifebuoy’s ‘H for Handwashing’ movement continues to inspire and foster healthy hand hygiene habits among children through the power of play. This year, Lifebuoy collaborated with Imagimake, a leading Indian toy designing company, to recreate iconic board games with the ‘H for Handwashing Games’ collection. The games kit features four popular children’s games – Germs and Ladders, Handwashing Ludo, Soap-Tac-Toe, and Lose the Germs – all aimed to educate kids about the importance of hand hygiene by harnessing the power of play.
The initiative received endorsements from the State Governments of Delhi, Punjab and Haryana. Game kits have been distributed to over 75,000 public school children across these states. Education Ministers and Senior Government officials also engaged with children in some of these state schools to help them understand about hand hygiene for a healthier future.
Switching gears to our Lifesavers in the field!
HUL volunteers visited a local school in Mumbai and educated children about hand hygiene with the help of 'H for Handwashing Games'. Over the span of next few months, our employee volunteers will visit various schools across Maharashtra and Gujarat to further engage with children and encourage them to foster good hand hygiene to help prevent diseases.
More power to Lifebuoy as it continues its mission to create awareness about handwashing an important habit that helps saves lives.
