Pureit recognized with prestigious innovation awards

Pureit has been awarded with the Golden Peacock Innovative Product/Service Award in the FMCG sector and two awards from UNESCO Water Digest in the category of Best Domestic Non-Electric Water Purifier and Best Water R&D and Technological Breakthrough.

The Golden Peacock Innovative Product/ Service Award was presented by Justice P. N. Bhagwati, Chairman of Golden Peacock & former Chief Justice of India and Suresh Prabhu, Member of Parliament & former Union Minister for Environment at an award function held on January 30th at Mumbai.

Pureit was unanimously chosen as the winner of the Golden Peacock Innovative Award in the FMCG sector after going through a three-tier assessment process which involved evaluation, site visit and presentation. Pureit also won this award in 2009.

Golden Peacock Awards have been instituted by the Institute of Directors in 1991. Golden Peacock Innovative Product/Services Award is awarded every year to the product that uses breakthrough technology to achieve maximum customer satisfaction at minimum cost and is sustainable. The award receives applications every year from public, private, non-profit, government, business, manufacturing and services sector from across India.

Some of the jury members of the Golden Peacock Innovative award were Dr. Ola Ullsten, Former Prime Minister of Sweden, Justice P N Bhagwati, Former Chief Justice of India, and Pradeep Chaturvedi, Advisor, FAO.

The UNESCO Water Digest Awards were presented in the presence of Sh. Vincent Pala, Hon’ble State Minister of Water Resources at an award function held on January 27th, 2011 at New Delhi.

The UNESCO Water Digest Awards are organised by `Water Digest' which is an international magazine. The award is supported by UNESCO & Ministry of Water Resources. The key focus of the award is on innovations and processes that contribute to the sustainability of water resource and to highlight those organizations/NGOs/Companies that have worked within the community to ensure the message of water use efficiency is primary in the mind of people, institutions, government & industry.
