Six HUL factories recognised at the ‘India Manufacturing Excellence Awards’

Six HUL factories were recognised at the 2013 Economic Times India Manufacturing Excellence Awards (IMEA).

HUL’s factory at Amli in Silvassa ranked first overall and received the prestigious ‘Super Platinum’ award and was followed by the Dapada factory at Silvassa, which won the first runner up award in the same category.

Though HUL factories have been regularly winning the awards at this event in the past, it is first time that HUL stole the show with six awards in different categories (see list below) 

The awards took place on 6 December 2013 at an event in Mumbai. Factory managers of our winning units received the award from Mr. Shrijeet Misra, COO , Bennett, Coleman & Company Ltd . Aroop Zutshi, Global President - Frost and Sullivan, Shishir Joshipura - MD, SKF Ltd, Pradeep Singh – DGM , Economic Times also graced the occasion.

1. Amli factory, Silvassa --Super Platinum Award 

2. Dapada detergent factory, Silvassa --Super Platinum Award - First Runner Up 

3. Doom Dooma factory --Platinum Award 

4. Khamgaon factory --Gold Award 

5. Haldia detergent factory --Gold Award

6. Sumerpur factory-- Silver Certificate of Merit
