HUL pledges to 'Eat Right'

Hindustan Unilever Limited’s (HUL) commitment to provide the best possible products to its customers is a continuous effort. This commitment extends across product portfolios, including our food and beverages range. Keeping this in mind, HUL has pledged its support to the Eat Right campaign launched on July 10.

Kodaikanal Mercury Factory – Contamination Response, India

The safety of our employees and the communities in which we operate is our number one priority. In 2001, after becoming aware of an environmental breach at our former factory in Kodaikanal, we immediately closed the factory and launched an investigation.

The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) bestowed HUL’s Khamgaon factory with the prestigious ‘Vasundhara’ Award on the occasion of World Environment Day. Hon’ble State Minister for Environment Shri Ramdas Kadam and other dignitaries attended the award ceremony.

Inculcating clean habits in children for a healthy living

According to Unicef, almost half of India‘s children under five years fall ill frequently. Being one of the largest FMCG Company in the country with nine out of ten Indian households using its products, Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) leveraged its scale to address this challenge. In line with its mission of making sustainable living commonplace, the Company launched the ‘Swachh Aadat, Swachh Bharat’ (SASB) programme. The programme aims to get children to adopt three simple habits that can help them live healthier lives. With the tagline, ‘Hath, Munh, Bum, Bimari Hogi Kum” the programme encourages positive behaviour change through mass media campaigns and on ground activations.
