Asha Daan – The gift of hope

As a company, we have always believed in 'doing well by doing good.' In 1976, HUL supported the setting up of Asha Daan – a home in Mumbai for abandoned and differently-abled children, HIV-positive people and the destitute. Asha Daan (meaning gift of hope) as an institution has truly gifted hope to many people over the last four decades.

Project

Missionaries of Charity, founded by Mother Teresa, manages the home, housed in the 72,500-square feet plot that belongs to HUL. The company takes care of the home's maintenance and upkeep.

Impact

Since the inception of Asha Daan in 1976, HUL has been looking after the maintenance of the premises. HUL takes care of over 400 infants, destitute people and HIV patients at Asha Daan.
