At Hindustan Unilever Limited, along with our partners such as the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Xynteo, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), and Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), we organised activities across different parts of India to foster a culture of cleanliness through widespread participation.

Clean up drives around our Suvidha Centres
Around our 17 Suvidha centres for community health and hygiene, we drove awareness on the importance of Swachhata through clean-up drives in the slums of Mumbai with ~10,000 people participating. At the centres, ~500 children created art with messaging promoting shared responsibility and cleanliness.

HUL’s partnership with UNDP
Under Project Utthaan in partnership with UNDP, an event was held which saw participation from over 1,200 people in a series of activities addressing the three pillars:
- Swachhata Ki Bhaagidari, that promoted active citizen participation and collective responsibility for sanitation.
- Sampoorna Swachhata, that called for mega cleanliness drives and the transformation of neglected garbage spots.
- Safai Mitra Suraksha Shivir, an initiative dedicated to the welfare of sanitation workers.

Collaborating with Xynteo
As part of our Start A Little Good programme in partnership with Xynteo, we conducted a clean-up event in Girgaon Chowpatty, Mumbai where we engaged over 2,000 volunteers and collected 550 MT of waste. In Delhi, we collaborated with the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to conduct trainings on waste segregation and proper waste management with 300 participants alongside street plays for commercial establishments across the South Zone.

HUL factories spread across the country actively organised and participated in cleanliness drives to beautify surroundings and reinforce HUL’s commitment to a cleaner, healthier India.
