HUL’s support to Assam flood victims
HUL contributes Rs 1 crore worth of relief material for Assam flood victims.
November 25, 2012, (Doom Dooma): Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) has contributed Rs 1 crore worth of relief material for Assam flood victims. The Relief material comprised of essential items such as Lifebuoy soap, Wheel soap bar, Annapurna salt, rice, pulses, and mustard oil will be distributed to about 2800 families affected by the floods. The material was handed over by Krishna Bhosale, Factory Manger, Doom Dooma factory to Shri Meenakshi Sundaram , District Collector, Tinsukhia today.
The relief work is being coordinated with the help of company's factory colleagues in Doom Dooma, depot staff and key retail stockists of the company in the region. HUL's Doom Dooma factory has been in touch with the Assam Government to identify and provide support to the affected people.
