HUL wins forty packaging awards at the prestigious IASTAR 2012
Hindustan Unilever Limited has won forty packaging awards at the prestigious INDIASTAR 2012.
Better known as the National Awards for Excellence in Packaging, INDIASTAR in its 25th year received a record number of 507 entries. And it was only after a rigorous screening process by the esteemed jury members that the following HUL products made it to the winners’ list. The awards were handed over at a ceremony that took place on January 29 in Mumbai.
Household care brands Vim and Domex won 5 awards. Taj Mahal, Bru and Lipton was awarded in 6 categories while the paper packaging for ice cream won 1 award. In the laundry segment, Surf Excel won an award. In personal and skin care, Dove, Lux, Pears and Lifebuoy won one award each, Ponds and Fair and Lovely* won 4, Aviance won 4 and Lakme led the pack with 15 wins.
The jury members, who met at IIP (Indian Institute Of Packaging) – Mumbai on August 24-25 last year to evaluate the many entries consisted of industry experts, government officials and eminent office holders from institutions.
The 40 wins at INDIASTAR has automatically got HUL that many nominations to the ASIASTAR 2012 and WORLDSTAR 2012 Awards.
