Dr Vivek Mittal is the Executive Director, Legal and Corporate Affairs at Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) and a member of the HUL Management Committee.
Prior to joining HUL, Dr Mittal served as Global General Counsel at Dr Reddy’s Laboratories Limited, with responsibility for legal, ethics, compliance and data privacy risks. He brings over 25 years of experience in legal, governance, ethics, and compliance, having held leadership roles across a diverse range of industries at companies including Danaher Corporation, Lupin Limited, Reliance, Radico Khaitan, Indiabulls Group, Caparo India Operations, and Mount Shivalik Industries.
Dr Mittal actively engages with leading industry bodies and contributes to discussions on corporate governance, law, policy, and institutional reforms. He is Co-Chair of the FICCI Committee on Corporate Governance & Corporate Laws, and Chair of the CII National Committee on Anti-Counterfeiting & Piracy. He is also a Member of the CII National Committee on Strategic M&A and Restructuring, and a Member of the CII Task Force on Judicial Reforms.
Dr Mittal holds a PhD, an LL.B. and a postgraduate degree in Commerce (M.Com), and is a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).
